c) HUMAN RESOURCES EFFECTIVENESS ANALYSIS

The HR function today like all others needs to demonstrate its value-add in the business unit it is a part of. With this objective in mind S&S help clients measure the effectiveness of their HR Functions.
Using Industry knowledge, interviews, and survey data, S&S study the complex interaction between the HR System and other essential components of the organization. The key issues addressed are:
1. How do the external environment factors influence HR system emergence and design in     the rapidly evolving organization;
2. What changes occur in HR system design as the organization passes through various         stages of the life cycle; and
3. How do individual employees experience and respond to the HR polices and practices         that mediate their relationship with the employing organization?

We provide first a description of the firm and its external environment with particular emphasis on the accelerated rate of change, identify the primary lessons learned about the influence of environmental contingencies on HR system design and suggest avenues for investigation. An HR effectiveness audit would be conducted if necessary to assess the gaps in HR's and line management's views on the importance and effectiveness of HR services, along with recommendations for improvement.

 Periodic & formal reviews on progress towards established expectations.
• A written performance appraisal summarizing an employee's overall performance during   the review period & a development plan for improving performance.

Some Performance Appraisals Systems do succeed in establishing measurable goals for employees, most of these have not been able to establish ways & means to objectively assess levels of achievement for Performance Standards. S&S Associates' PMS, on the other hand, can provide clear & objective 'Behavioral Anchors' for each level of performance in respect of all Performance Standards.
